The short version: OmniFuel stores all your personal health data locally on your device. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we only transmit data to third-party services (like AI features) when you actively use those features.
1. Who We Are
OmniFuel ("we", "us", or "our") is a health and nutrition tracking application. Our contact email is privacy@omnifuel.app.
2. Information We Collect
OmniFuel collects only the information necessary to provide its features:
- Profile information you voluntarily enter: name, age, weight, height, and fitness goals.
- Health and nutrition logs you create: food entries, water intake, supplement logs, menstrual cycle data, and body weight records.
- App preferences: theme settings, notification preferences, and goal targets.
- Device camera: used only when you initiate a barcode scan or photograph a food item. Images are not stored or transmitted.
- Photo library: accessed only when you choose to select a photo for food logging. Images are not stored on our servers.
We do not collect: precise GPS location, contacts, call logs, browsing history, device identifiers for advertising, or any data in the background.
3. How We Store Your Data
All personal health data is stored exclusively on your device using local device storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you:
- Use the AI food logging feature — your food description text is sent to our API server to process your request via an AI model.
- Use the HealthBot chat feature — your messages and a summary of your recent nutrition logs are sent to our API server to generate a response.
- Use the Export feature — you manually share a JSON backup file to a destination of your choosing.
4. Third-Party Services
When you use AI-powered features, your request data is processed by:
- AI language model providers (via our API server) to generate food analysis or health coaching responses. We do not store these requests after processing.
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or data brokers.
5. How We Use Your Information
- To display your nutrition summaries, progress charts, and health insights within the app.
- To send you local notifications you have explicitly scheduled (reminders, check-ins). These are processed entirely on-device.
- To calculate personalized calorie and macro targets based on your profile.
- To provide AI-generated responses when you use chat or AI logging features.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app's stated features.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may disclose information only if required by law (e.g., a valid court order) and will notify you to the extent permitted by law.
7. Health Data Disclaimer
OmniFuel is a logging and tracking tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, supplement regimen, or health practices. Supplement and peptide tracking features are for personal record-keeping only.
8. Children's Privacy
OmniFuel is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@omnifuel.app and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and export: Use Settings → Data & Privacy → Export Data to download all your data at any time.
- Deletion: Use Settings → Data & Privacy → Clear All Data to permanently delete all locally stored data. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data.
- Notifications: You can disable or customize all notifications in Settings → Notifications, or through your device's system settings.
- Camera and photos: You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device's system settings without affecting core app functionality.
10. Data Security
Your data is stored using your device's built-in secure storage. We use HTTPS for all API communications. Since health data is stored locally rather than on a central server, your data is not exposed to server-side breaches.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of OmniFuel after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
